Good morning everybody. You wouldn't believe where I'm at. But here's another episode of Cinco minutitos with profe. If you haven't guessed so already, I'm back at the fig tree. I really like this place. I got a dog to come jump on me. I get good smelling figs. I got cats to come climb trees with me. It's a beautiful place. It's a beautiful place. Today's podcast really doesn't have any anything to look for or anything to show for other than the simple act and belief of never give up. Why would you ever give up? Never give up, never quit. I think it comes from the the movie I just watched, the last samurai with Tom Cruise. What a film. What a film. But if you have a purpose, you gotta go after it. And you have to redefine yourself. Um get caught giving up parts of yourself. And that's what I mean. I don't mean it only in sports, and I'll talk about that later. But just talk about everything in life. Sometimes relationships that are worth fighting for. Never giving up on yourself, never giving up on your friends. Just never really giving up on ideas either. So that's where I'm at today. Never give up. As it pertains to me and my sport. Man, I'm one, six, and two. I'm not having a good year. We're not having a good year. But I just I've never given up the belief that we can win. I've not once. We're down 2-0 yesterday against a very good, strong side, very good college team. Not once that I believe we couldn't win. Not once. Not once. Um so there's there's other things going on, and you never give up on your staff, you never give up on your players, you never give up on the process. You don't just don't give up because what's the point? Like what? I'm not a quitter, I know that. If if if I was a quitter, then you know, maybe maybe I'd uh it's because I come from one. But my father never quit, my mom never quit. Two rounds of cancer still went to work. Still went to work, two rounds of cancer still went to work. Um my father never gave up on the business. It's it's not as successful as we want it to be, but it's it's a good foundation. There's business coming in and out. Um, and and we're gonna take it over because we just we don't give up. If my sister gave up, man, she she wouldn't be the strong woman she is today. If my brother gave up, he wouldn't have all the fruition of all his blessings and everything he wanted to in his life. So uh we don't quit over here. You know, there are things you have to give up. Always. Always, you know what's right and wrong, you know what's good and bad. But the concept of quitting on what you believe in and what drives you and what you believe your purpose to be, hell no. You cannot. You can never quit. God will be mad at you. Whoever you believe in will be mad at you. You'll disappoint people. If it's bad for you, then maybe you gotta quit. But if it ain't, never give up, man. Never stop fighting, never stop believing. Life's too short, like life's actually too short, and this fig tree makes me realize it. This tree's been up for 65 years, they said, and now it's broken in half. But it's still producing figs. I still I see a new branch right here, still producing figs. It just this tree never gives up. There's another branch coming out right now. I see. There's no point. There's no point in you giving up. There's no point in you backing down from who you want to be or what you believe. As long as it's good and the intentions are there, never give up. So I that's all I got for today. I I won't stop believing that I can win a national championship. I I won't stop believing that I can have a great WCC conference this this now. And if my boys are listening, which I doubt they do, they don't listen to me anyway. Ha! I'm just kidding. Um I've never stopped believing in you fellas. I've never stopped believing in my staff. I never stopped believing in my family and those people that care about me, who've also never stopped believing in me. That's special someone knows. She knows. And so that's where I'm at. Under a fig tree, without a single doubt, without a single thought of giving up. I can and I will. I can and I will. We can and we will. Do yourself that honor. Give yourself that service to never give up and keep believing in yourself no matter what. Cinco minutitos for profit. Thank you guys. Season three is gonna be a cracker, by the way.
