Hey everybody, welcome back to another episode of 5 minutitos with Profe. This was gonna be titled Here Goes Nothing, because this is maybe the first podcast where I felt the need to record something, but have no idea what I want to talk about. So here we go. Right now, there's a beautiful dog named Chanel in front of me, and she's living her best life because there's a big dog and a big stick, and she's chewing it after she put all her muddy paws all over my clothes. Then there's this cute little cat who's just like picking at everything, and we live in a farm, so everything's like a cat litter, so they're you know they they do their thing. Then there's another cat named Tiger who like he just climbs trees, and and you know, he's a cool cat, like he comes and lets you cuddle and purrs and stuff like that. But this one, she's so independent, I forget her name, and so yeah, I don't have much to say. I'm sitting on a broken down frig tree. This fig tree that I'm sitting under in this family's back uh farm for 65 years or something like that, and it broke maybe a month and a half after I moved in, so maybe I have some bad juju, or maybe it's a sign for me to rebirth and try new things and stuff, but it's a beautiful tree, and and the figs are still fruiting, it's very interesting. Well, they're starting to fade. But I always wonder why this tree broke. It's it's in perfect condition, it seemed like it was beautiful. Anyway, I come here and sit and meditate and ponder about life. I should start bringing my journal out here. Um, but lately I've been feeling the heavy burdens of a head coach, and how like you are responsible for so many lives, and you have to care for them, you have to nurture them, which means that you have to be there even when like moments are tough for people, you know. Like we've been dealing with injuries, we've been dealing with people losing eligibility, and so um you know, I was a little sad today. I also failed putting on my cold plunge, and I didn't fail, it's just that the pump wasn't pumping, and then every time I was done pumping, the air would go out so quickly. So, you know, then you go back to if you if you have the ability to buy something that's worth a lot of money, but you know you're gonna use it for a long time, just spend money on it if you're gonna use it if it's worth the time, because I was cheap with this one, and I have to pump something instead of just having a hard shell, you know, ice bath. So, yeah, I'm upset about that, but nonetheless, like the responsibility thing. Um you really feel for people in this profession, and you really want the best for people. I just wonder where so many coaches lose their way and start like making it about them and their ego. Because I tell my staff and I tell my close people, I tell my bosses too. I'm like, if I ever get grumpy and lose sight of like the purpose of coaching, which is to nurture and lead men, young men, or women, if if that's where you're coaching. Um I don't want to work as a coach anymore. This is a selfless servant servant leadership decision, and so well, there goes nothing. I guess I was I don't know where I was gonna start this podcast, and then I'm talking about my problems. Um, it's okay to not be okay, it's okay to be sad, it's okay to be happy, it's okay to fail, but you gotta find your way. You gotta find your way back to the ground and the soul and the light. Because you know, we do only live once. We might be eternal souls, there might be an afterlife, there might be heaven to each their own. But man, is this current moment beautiful? Isn't it beautiful? We can't forget. We can't forget that today is a beautiful day to have a beautiful day. And that's what I told my players when I woke up this morning and we're at the hotel. I just want to keep getting better as a man, better as a coach, uh, so I can be a good husband and all this stuff when the time comes through. But the cat's back. Maybe she wants my attention and some cuddles now. This dog Chanel doesn't stop loving me. She's a beautiful dog. She's a very beautiful dog. But yeah. Life is good. Remember to text your people, tell them you love them, call them. Love people. Don't be afraid to show your emotions, don't be afraid to laugh, don't be afraid to cry, don't be afraid to dance, don't be afraid to be weird if you feel like being weird. You gotta feel all these things. You gotta feel all these things. And you know, I watched the Lion King with my nephews the other day, and you know Hakuna matata. Ain't no worry, philosophy, or something like that. But there's always worries, but still go back to Hakuna matat. Everything's gonna be alright. Because you can't avoid a lot of things, you gotta handle them. But Hakuna Matat. Sitting under a fig tree. This dog's still getting a lot of cuddles from me right now, Chanel. She's a good dog. But here we go. Tomorrow, Monday, Labor Day. Make sure you get some work done, huh? Make sure you get some homework done. Make sure you do a little something, maybe some yard work, uh, maybe some journaling, maybe some finance. Like, do something. Do something to get you going, alright? Alright. I'm gonna get going. Here goes nothing. I know a little bit of something and a whole lot of nothing. Um the more you know, the less you realize you know. We know a lot about a little, and know a little about a lot. But here we go. Here we go again. We get another effort tomorrow. It's gonna be a beautiful day. Beautiful now. I talked to my grandma today. Wow! My grandma's 92, and she's so happy to see me. She's such a beautiful soul. Man, I wanna be like her when I grow up. I wanna be like her now. I love my grandma. La quiero mucho, la doro, y la quiero mucho, y la adoro, y la quiero mucho y la adoro. Un abrazo a todos. Thank you for listening to Cinco Minutitos de Profe. Here goes something. Out of nothing. Try alchemy sometime. Akuna Matata.
