Good morning everybody and welcome to another episode of Cinco Minutitos with Profe. Today I am feeling beyond blessed because I am at this magical magical place. It's called El Chante. It's a small town in the state of Jalisco. A little bit away from Guadalajara Jalisco. It's near a town called Jokotepec. It's in the municipal of Ahih. And this place, some believe, is truly, truly magical. Mystical. Mystical to say the least. I believe it. I have evidence of it. I grew up here as a whole again and my life turned out alright. But today I wanted to do a regular one. I told you guys I'd be back with just more features and stuff like that. But today I feel very, very grateful to be here and I wanted to share that gratitude with you guys. The stories of this town are as follows. We were poor when I grew up, and and not poor, broke. Like we like we just we couldn't afford going on extravagant vacations or any of that. And so my parents took us here every spring break, every summer break. I would spend months here, weeks here, and because you know we are such cool people, I think, we were able to invite a lot of friends over and stuff like that. So imagine a few of my mom's friends, a few cousins, and then a few of her kids' friends, and all that. So sometimes it'll be like seven to ten to twelve to fifteen kids, and then behind us, we have even more cousins, and that house is three times the size of ours, so you get the idea. A lot of kids running around, and we made friends with the people of the town here in El Chante. Cool people. We would play soccer next to the uh my aunt has a little land next to us, and so we'd play soccer there. One time we started getting a fight because Diego was just good. Diego's my brother, and my grandma hopped over the fence and says, Hey, if you guys want to be here, you have to respect the land and play like good boys. And my when my grandma says something, it goes because you know she's she's a queen around here. Anyway, the reason I love this place is because I was truly free, and I feel free right now. I had the toughest year of my life, and right now it's all it hits, but with an understanding and love and compassion, because who I am is truly here, and who I want to continue being is truly here. I was a young boy who stood up for himself, I was a young boy who stood up for others, a young boy who was respectful as a mother, and a young boy who always always tried to do the right thing. And I was also a holdigan, and I'm gonna talk a little bit about that because I feel like nowadays a lot of us are missing that part of the holdigan. And to me it's so interesting that we get lost in the society. But look, I grew up catching snakes at five years old, I grew up slingshot wars, I grew up playing street soccer all the time, I grew up just making friends with whoever. I think maybe that's what makes me sociable. Nonetheless, I think it's important for kids to have that. Like I hope one day I have kids and they come here and like I watch my nephew, uh my nephews, Elias and Sebastian, and they're cool with everybody. Like everybody comes over, and we we adopted a stray dog, my sister did it. I was just it's a freeing place, and the slow pace of life here is really, really revitalizing. And so I just want to share that with you guys. If you guys are ever in Guadalajara en Jalisco, you have to check out this magical lake. Um it's vast, it's it's it it it's dry sometimes, sometimes it hits the boat. Uh we have a boat ramp. We don't have a boat, we can't afford a boat, but we'll get there one day. But it hits the ramp and Buenos Aires! And it's just a beautiful, beautiful place. It's just a beautiful place. And so today I'm just grateful to be back here with this podcast just to share you guys to don't forget where you come from. Never do, never forget the times when you're a young boy, young girl, even even if there were good and there were bad, because these are the moments that make you, and you never know the impact a good childhood has on you, or just anything you live in in your young days, because I've never forgotten this place. Some people ask me what home is. I think this lake is home, this little house, El Chante. Yeah, it's just well, I'm not going off a rant, but I just wanted to say that don't forget your roots, visit people you love, and and continue to try to be a good human being. We need those, we need love, we need inspiration, we need motivation, we need desire. Yeah, we need it all right now. So don't forget. Text your mother, tell her you love her, text your sister, tell them you love them, text your friends, text your friends, call them, let them know. Anyway, I'm here in El Chante.
